This site is about sharing knowledge related to markets and it will detail my specific approach to trading and investing. If you can walk away from reading this having learned something 'new' about markets or having enhanced your existing methods...then I have served a purpose. My brain works from the perspective that when in possession of knowledge that can benefit others it must be shared. My approach to markets is also an investigation; an ongoing process of self reflection and reinvention. No method is perfect. There is no 'black-box' to trading. But if we can focus primarily on our methods and in acquiring knowledge through experience in trading, then we can improve our outcomes in markets and generate profits. This is not about money per say. The content in this site is the result of data mining my past trading history (thousands of futures, options and equity trades), successes, failures, profits and falling flat on my face. I wanted to isolate a trading style that incorporated a mechanical, rules-based approach to curb the speculative tendencies of guesswork, that works in harmony with the freedom of intuitive judgement to override when necessary.
The trading process on this site has very little to do with heuristics, subjectivity, predicting future or needing to control the market. The trading is about using the structure of the market as a guide and following the rules I have developed to generate low risk ideas. When I am wrong, I don't hang on. I do what the rules say and take responsibility for my decision. There will always be markets and trades to take. So lets be smart about it and enjoy the process!
